About this apprenticeship

Following the establishment of a need for a new member of staff with responsibilities over the marketing branch of Paul Airey Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors (specifically digital and social media marketing), the following job specification and requirements have been formulated.

In a broad and overarching sense, the job of a Digital Marketeer will have a strong bias towards the promotion of both specific stock advertisement and the business itself.

The company is looking to expand its client offering, as well as opening itself up to a wider range of potential customers. Within a dynamic office setting, the successful applicant will be working alongside colleagues who have received a diverse exposure to the property industry.

The job role will involve regular engagement with social media platforms, together with extensive work on photographic and videographic technology. Co-ordination of marketing campaigns will also play a significant part in the apprenticeship term. The position within Paul Airey Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors will further allow for creative freedom on the part of the successful applicant, providing the opportunity to work closely with the company director to forge a digital strategy for the years to come.

Within the ever-changing industry of real estate, the onus will be upon the new digital marketeer to secure the company’s place in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

The day to day responsibilities for this role may include:

  • Developing high quality content to build awareness of the brand and create sales through social media.
  • Producing videos to assist the sale of properties.
  • Responding to queries via social media in an informed, engaging and timely manner.
  • Using analytics to report on marketing trends and marketing performance.
  • Managing paid search and social media marketing campaigns.

Working pattern

Monday to Friday (9.00am - 5.00pm).


Entry requirements

It is essential that you hold GCSE Grades A*-C/4-9 (or equivalent) in:

  • Mathematics
  • English Language/Literature

Personal skills

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • High level of computer literacy
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with social media, photography or video production.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment (preferred)

Things to consider

The shop is located in central Sunderland with excellent transport links and access to shops and amenities.

The office is also home to Barney the dog so this workplace would not be suitable for applicants with a severe dog allergy.
