About this apprenticeship

We are looking for a special kind of person who can get stuck in to a really varied programme of digital marketing to drive the success of some of the biggest and best Business EXPO events in the UK!

You must be willing to learn a broad range of digital marketing skills and event management processes that go hand in hand with running successful events. No two days will be the same!

We want someone who will go above and beyond to delight our exhibitors, speakers and customers through digital marketing platforms and face-to-face interactions.

No experience is necessary as you will gain the skills you need to succeed in this role by undertaking an advanced Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship (equivalent to two A-Level passes) and from the experienced team at Fresh Start Events. However, some experience in graphic design and or using WordPress would be desirable.

Your day to day responsibilities would be:

  • Event admin and logistics on setup and event days.
  • Controlling and monitoring social media activity (including paid ads).
  • Managing Pay-Per-Click campaigns.
  • Developing content campaigns
  • Developing/managing event websites.
  • Analysing analytics and insights from online channels.
  • Creating/amend design output using Adobe Creative suite

Working pattern

Monday to Friday (10:00am to 4:00pm). Due to the role, some flexibility would be required for events.


Entry requirements

It is essential that you hold GCSE Grades A*-C/4-9 (or equivalent) in:

  • Mathematics
  • English Language

Fresh Start Events (FSE) are one of the UK’s leading organisers of business expo’s, tradeshows and business related conferences. We have been delivering events all over the UK since 2011 and have established leading trade shows in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Derby and Huddersfield.

All of our events are unique offering small, medium and large businesses a chance to exhibit, speak or just attend a show once every six months and in doing so network and develop strong brand awareness amongst all attendees. We don’t operate on a membership fee basis which allows us to attract delegates to attend our shows from a very varied audience.

Things to consider

The office is located in the owners back garden in a converted summerhouse. It is a lovely working space but there will be no amenities close by unless you have access to a vehicle.
