Software DevelopER Technician
Overview
Software Developer Technicians are responsible for ensuring that code gets interpreted, implemented, and subsequently rolled out to fit user requirements. The software they develop is usually used in-house by colleagues and other teams, typically as part of larger projects. They get involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design to implementation and testing.
Candidates on this apprenticeship will be taught about the structure of software applications, how to test code, and the different methodologies that can be used for software development. They will be expected to know how their role fits in to the software development team, as well as how their code integrates into wider projects.
