Cyber Security Technologist
Overview
The role of a Cyber Security Technologist is to protect systems and people from cyber threats and hazards. As part of this apprenticeship learners will be taught how to analyse security threats for vulnerabilities by researching and investigating the techniques that people use to attack security systems.
On this apprenticeship candidates will develop an understanding of why cyber security is important and the concepts that underpin it. They will have to design, build, and test a network for vulnerabilties and carry out risk assessments on systems.
98% of all businesses in the UK operate online in one way or another (Companies House), and the latest government statistics show that 43% of all businesses experienced a cyber attack or breach in 2018. It’s never been more important for a business to protect their online activities and a Cyber Security Technologist is equipped with the skills and knowledge to achieve this.
